Bobby will still be relatively inexpensive this year, even with a new long-term deal. The commitment really starts to climb in 2025, which would be the first time he would be eligible for arbitration.
I haven’t done a deep dive into payroll of late, but there has to be some room. Especially given that most of the key guys have less than three years experience.
Can’t disagree with that. They have to show a commitment to winning (I know, I know) and the best way—and probably the only way—to do that is to tie up Witt long term.
