Taking out Ober was the tipping point of the game, series, and possibly the season. Stupid decisions by other managers—how great is that?!
Baldelli totally would’ve been justified going the Ned Yost School of Pitching Management route…let the starter go until a runner gets on base. Then bullpen. Still, to piece together a rally against the back of that bullpen was extremely impressive.
