Right there with you on pretty much everything, Mr. B, except the Phitin' Phils in the Series. Could very well be an all blue happening: Dodgers uni's are very similar to KC's.
Idiot typist me sez the Tigers will be biggest, baddest threat. Imagine where that team could be if they weren't saddled with that gawd-awful Baez contract.
As always, biggest variable is health, health, health. Won't be so lucky this year. Scary thing is how the offense cratered when VInnie went down on 29 August.
PS - "90 year old Carlos Santana." Thx much for the belly-laugh.
I'm split on the Tigers. Mostly, I'm intrigued to see how that infield works for them. And how they minimize playing time for Baez. Probably not a coincidence that they played their best baseball with him out of the lineup.
Totally get the Dodgers, but I have to do something to shake things up!
By the way, Anne Roger’s column this morning includes the highlights (probably too strong a term; not her fault) of her discussion with CEO Sherman; doesn’t provide much insight into the proposed stadium move except that Sherman feels really, really good about this and really, really good about that. Are you picking up any scuttlebutt on that project, Craig?
Just what everyone else is hearing. But I'm wondering if the lack of traction at this point continues to underscore how inept this whole operation has been. For awhile, I was hoping it meant they were getting serious and focused. Now...I'm not so sure.
I'll add that I would never, ever, under any circumstances get my stadium info from a certain morning show radio host, though.
That will be a cool moment. I've written about this a lot, but I think it's great how the current guys embrace the older players. From ownership to the front office to the clubhouse. The Royals have a really great history and a connection to the players of the past is key to keeping that alive.
I think Witt and Ragans are obvious locks for the ASG. I figured India, Salvy, Pasquantino, Lugo, and Erceg all at least have legitimate shots for one reason or another. For that reason, I predicted five All Stars this year.
Five is heavy, but doable. If anything, there should be fan support for Perez just for the fact that another All-Star nod wouldn't hurt what will be a fairly interesting Hall of Fame candidacy a few years down the road.
You gotta believe!!!!
Always!

I can’t wait! I think that everyone might be *slightly* overrating the Tigers, but I’m excited to see how everything plays out!
Detroit is the enigmatic team for me this year. Could be a playoff team, could be a fourth-place team.
Are they tailgating at Kauffman yet? Are the Fountains Up? 162-0 baby!
Gates open at 12. Get going!

Thanks; I’ll take the over on the ineptitude question….
Also (Gawd, when will i just shut up?), the first pitch being thrown by Wilson (‘85} and Cain {‘15} is an amazing idea; Kleenexes, please….

I am really looking forward to this season and I expect it to be exciting. Go Royals!
Optimism! It's still a new feeling around these parts. I like it.

I like the way you think.
Hahaha...You get me.
Rematch of 1980, I like it.
It's time. :)
