I stopped watching - same shit different day. Other than a Brady start I don't see an opportunity for an entertaining game. That is all I wanted the last 2 months. My wife was buying us tickets to drive 8 hrs to see the final homestand - had to tell her no thanks. I can't waste my vacation days on this. Remove those responsible - all staff and Dayton- and hire someone that have never won the royals uniform. WE need and deserve a fresh start.

You’re hardly the only one who has decided that vacation days and money spent on the Royals are a waste. This should be troubling to ownership. But who knows?

As someone who was a music teacher for half a century I'm fully aware that low expectations = poor results.

How can Dayton Moore or anyone else in the organization not know this?

I found it interesting that Matheny spoke of Pratto's "lack of AB's" as it were some sort of irresistible circumstance forced upon all of them by overpowering, uncontrollable outside influences.

Mike, are you unable to recognize that these kinds of things are the results of your own decisions, and no one else's? You're the guy who fills out the lineup card every day.

Agree. It’s Matheny’s responsibility to fit the pieces into the lineup. With the roster assembled, it’s really not easy, but it can be done. He has a spreadsheet, for crying out loud!

I have been a die hard Royals fan since they were founded. I had season tickets for 25 years before moving from KC and then bought the MLB package so I could watch my Royals. I've seen the ups and downs and this stretch is absolutely the worst. I have no idea whatJohn Sherman's baseball philosophy is but I would hope it would be to give KC a winning team. He needs to start fresh and that means firing the front office, manager and coaches. The Rangers did it in the middle of the year - it sent a clear message that ownership expected to win. Sherman should do the same.

Sherman remains an enigma. That’s frustrating, especially when the team isn’t making progress on the development of pitching. If he’s going to push for a new stadium, he needs to be much more forward-facing than he’s been. Particularly when the club is failing to meet modest expectations.
