It sucks when we're watching the Royals more for the opponent than them, but that's where we're at, and Ohtani is brilliant. He is a lot of fun to watch, even when he's abusing your team. What's way more troubling is that the Royals didn't look much better against the bullpen, or any other pitcher they faced in the last week.
The offense is just helpless right now. At least is was Ohtani carving them up for 7 instead of some rando. Not surprised they couldn’t do anything against the bullpen after that. Today is a new day. (That’s my lame attempt at optimism.)
Mr. B, count me as a subscriber who has signed up for clever innuendo. While your stat analysis is excellent, it's your use of words that I enjoy most. Please keep it up. While my favorite team struggles mightily, I can always look forward to a pleasant post from you.
I made the trip out to see our boys take on Ohtani (and see a friend). It went as expected, but it was still a very enjoyable experience. Pretty decent stadium. Was a sell out and fans were into it. Tough times for us Royals fans, but baseball is well on it's way back.
Shame about Bubic. And the first real bad black eye for the coaching staff. I know you can't force a guy to tell you his arm hurts, but he shouldn't have been out there. These things are kinda inevitable though once it starts to tear. I think.
The electricity did come through on the TV. Every Angels game should be a sellout with Trout and Ohtani.
On Bubic: Even if he didn’t say anything about his arm and even though it was cold that day, his velo was down too much for it not to be an immediate concern. But like you said, I think the injury was there from the jump. So while not the fault of the staff, it isn’t exactly a good look.

All attempts at optimism feel pretty lame right now, but I respect the effort.

Thanks Terry! Appreciate that as always!

I'd definitely have season tickets if I lived out here. No Trout in the lineup last night, which is just disrespectful.
Appreciate the content. Bet you are regretting there post game notes now.
Thanks. It’s not so bad. Two hour games definitely help!
I seriously doubt that anyone at all expected a Royals win when the pitching matchup was Ohtani vs VMG (Various Miscellaneous Guys.)
