Craig, I'm impressed that you found anything whatsoever to write about this game! I'll admit it: after watching 16 consecutive innings of scoreless "offense," I found the Final Four considerably more appealing than I had anticipated.

Even the Twins' gift of 11 free baserunners in those 16 innings failed to persuade the Royals that it's permissible to score an actual run every now and then.

I'm already tired of hearing Ryan and Hud bemoan all of the "unlucky" hard-hit balls.

Maybe tomorrow? Or maybe not?

I can only imagine what the TV broadcast sounded like.

Given how Joe Ryan dominated the Royals last year, I'm smelling a Twins sweep this weekend.

Bobby's looked good at short so far.

But man

WHY WOULD HE NOT THROW IT TOO FIRST AND GET THE OUT instead he felt the need too challenge one of the fastest guys in all of MLB

Huge mental blunder. Felt like trying to do too much when all that was asked to be done was the simple thing.

We need to file that play away in the "why BWJ should play outfield" folder for future reference.

The good news is the 1972 White Sox and the two Cleveland teams all had winning records. Let's just ignore the other two entries on that list.

Ha. You never want to emulate the 1908 A’s. Or so I’ve heard.

Nate Eaton. Our offense needs to get going so it doesn't matter what he does with the bat and can make plays like that every game. Pitching is very encouraging, if only 2 games in. However, some pretty severe pressing from a young team at the plate and in the field..tough to see bc it seems this happens every year. I can understand mistakes early on from Bobby, Vinnie, MJ etc. But Nicki's and Salvys pass balls are tough. Hopefully they can settle down soon or we could be off to a very rough start with Toronto next..

I totally agree with you that the pitching is very encouraging. However I'm already getting tired of hearing and reading that Pitcher X "pitched well in a loss." How many more dozens of times will that phrase come up this year?
