The 8th certainly carried that vibe.

Mr. B, does the fact that three of the four series wins have come against (preseason, anyway) quality teams , combined with dreadful records against mediocre (at best) division rivals say anything about the team raising its level of play against acknowledge competition? Alternatively, do they seem to play down to the level of their competition, or am I just imagining it?

I think they’re just a bad baseball team that has a couple of nights where things go right. What I think is amazing is they haven’t done this three nights in a row. Difficult to do.

What is it about the Twins that the Royals historically struggle against? Why are the Twins able to rebuild so quickly whereas the Royals take decades? Very frustrating.

Hard to believe that a team this bad at seemingly everything, with a bottom-5 farm system, is picking #8 in the draft.

Maybe another all star nod helps Salvy's HOF case down the road? That's the only reason I can conjure up why the Royals aren't pushing the league office hard for BWJ to be the pick.
