The Jac and Gordo pieces are nice bookends (it’s a metaphor), like a baton being handed off in the grand relay of Royals history (it’s a simile); as cold water is to a thirsty soul, so too are talented younguns to their fans (it’s an analogy)
The thing about Jac to me is that even if you want to disregard a host of stats, the remaining stats still all tell the same story: The dude can hit, and he might be ready to do it at the big league level NOW.
He will PROBABLY start the year in the minors, but it's not a foregone conclusion - he's still in big league camp - but I don't think he's going to be there long.
Thanks for the inclusion, Craig!
Glad to do it. Good stuff!
How cool would it be if the Royals placed Jac on the opening day roster and Ragans won the Cy Young, Witt won the MVP and Jac won ROY?
The awards trifecta. I would think that usually ends in a deep postseason run, too. That wouldn't be bad. We can dream.
Boooooo! Jac Attac now! j/k, but I have fallen in love with him so fast. And he hasn't even pitched once!
I am usually able to resist the charms of prospects, but damn...
I carry a Clint Hurdle medallion with me at all times, for just this risk…

10/10. No notes. :)
