SOOOO glad you were right re: Salvy; his blasts gave me a huge sense of relief.

However, still much concerned re: Vinnie & Massey: nothing but soft flies, popups. You worried?

Sitting on one backside cheek waiting on Ragans' diagnosis & treatment. Shades of Lorenzen in'24.

How have the Rox won 4? As the great Jayson Stark explains - Baseball!

I was going to mention Pasquantino and Massey, but I was running short on time. It's a problem. I'll probably dig into it over the weekend.

Knew Salvy would break through eventually. RIP to his belt.

Vinne getting that single in the second game to score Witt made me feel a lot better, even if it was just one hit. It’s felt like he’s trying to hit the cover off of the ball, maybe if he just tried to hit to contact things would start clicking?

That belt died a hero!

I feel like Pasquantino has shortened his swing at times. It's just not clicking for him at the moment. He needs to get right. The Royals need him to get right.

I guess that’s where we are at. Baby steps one month into season. Hopefully it gets turned around from here.

"This is a team dripping with ineptitude in just about every facet of the game." This might be the best sentence I have read in a while. Spot on, as well.

I’m headed to my first game of the season tonight. I hope the Royals keep things moving against the Astros this weekend. Winning 2 out of 3 this weekend would make me a bigger believer.

Bring back a win, George.

I agree. Two out of three would be a good result. A true statement after something of a rough start.

Gotta start somewhere! I'm glad they started here. The Astros series feels much more winnable now that the offense showed they can score runs against SOMEBODY. Sure, Marquez and Dollander haven't been good, but neither had Luis L Ortiz or Carlos Carrasco before them. Too bad we get the Astros' two best starting pitchers, but fingers crossed it'll be OK.

After being skeptical about any kind of carryover from Tuesday's comeback, I'm buying in a little more after the doubleheader sweep. Salvy coming through is a huge boost to this lineup. Need to get Pasquantino right to make me go all-in.

That's fair. But Salvy doing his thing should buy Vinnie more time and less pressure to get his swing figured out.

I am glad you were confident in a Salvy bounce back, because my glass only had a few sips left. I didnt expect him to come to spring training in the best shape of his life, but lets just say more than once this season I have pondered his pants size and how they might compare to babe ruths. Hadn't even thought about the belt. Maybe Vinnie just needed a new belt too, y I am betting on the belt.

Man did we need that!

Where have all the HRs gone? I enjoy small ball as much as the rest of Royals nation, but wouldn't mind a little pop with all the fizzle!

12 dingers in 26 games. C'mon boys - don't be afraid to venture outside of the yard!

I wouldn’t get too carried away with is our offense fixed. The Rox are 4-20. We are supposed to destroy them as any good team should. The real test will begin tonight with Houston. They are above .500 on the year. It would be nice if we can get two from them.

I am intrigued by Steven Cruz; would be a nice surprise for an under-the-radar player like him to emerge from this chaos in a positive fashion. Salvy; when that day comes (sob) and we look back, who will we have missed more? Do you have to go back to Brett to find a bigger emotional vacuum?
