I loved how well the broadcast compared Lugo's wind up and his stretch last night. Top notch work. Good baseball is elevating the whole experience.

I really didn’t see the point of that comparison; what am i missing?

Just how identical they were. I just thought it was neat. You don't see many pitchers use the wind up any more because it's hard to keep your mechanics exactly the same as in the stretch. That leads to all kinds of problems.

It would be fun to see them do the same comparison with someone who doesn’t do it so well; i wouldn’t (didn’t) have guessed the mechanical issues involved

Agree. A compare/contrast would really serve to highlight how well Lugo does at keeping things clean.

Lugo is just an efficient pitcher. Easy on the eyes. I didn’t really have any expectations so just watching him work has been a pleasure.

True of most of this staff so far, it seems; we’ve already seen a number of opposing pitchers take the clock down to (past?) zero; our guys seem to be comfortable and confident just taking the ball and throwing.

I’m trying to just enjoy this ride and not worry about what might happen or that they’re beating up on the Hapless White Sox ™️. But as a Royals fan, that’s not easy!

Bank wins early in the season and who knows what transpires down the line? I’m just happy they’re playing competitive baseball. As Vinnie says, they’re a good team.

They beat up on the Astros too, tho; not a hapless team (cheaters, granted, but not hapless).

wretched definitely plays, but "woebegone White Sox" has a nice ring to it

It does. Was considering mixing it up. Woebegone is kind of old-timey. Like if Charles Comiskey still owned the club and Chick Gandil was taking meetings with gamblers.
