I hope others got to watch this game and enjoy it as much as I did. I mainly wanted to see the kids play, but was pleasantly surprised to see a pretty well-played game. And how could you not root for Eaton and the others?! When the last out was recorded, I just sat there with a big smile on my face. Nice antidote for the last couple of days' news!

Well said. Just a ton of fun to watch.

Oh, and I also saw that Cal Eldred didn't make the trip. What if, just what if the staff has four well-pitched games in Toronto? LOL...

Some A+ shade being thrown around this game. I love it and the 10 deserve every bit of it. Really happy for these kids. I'd watch the heck out of a team of scrappers and underdogs just having fun out there. The dugout was completely different than every other game I've seen this year, I guess it couldn't be otherwise. There's a real attitude problem somewhere in the 10 though that is really bringing this club down.

We'll see how transactional Moore and Picollo get over the next couple of weeks. Or how transactional they can be, given the circumstances. There are a few guys they need to move. Hopefully the kids can either stick around or come back before the end of the month.

We didn't need the events of the past couple of days to convince us the time is right to trade Benintendi, Merrifield, Taylor, Dozier and Gallagher. This maybe makes it more acceptable in a lot of fans' eyes.

A couple of thoughts; Moore and Picollo would obviously know the vax status of all the players. Would that have encouraged trades prior to the Toronto series? At the same time, is that status made known to a team you are working a trade with? I read with interest that the Yankees may be less interested in Beni now, which is either just speculation, or would indicate the two sides hadn't talked much...ASSUMING vax status must be disclosed. You have any insight there, Craig?

I would assume vax status would be disclosed. Like any other medical info that is passed along. And acquiring teams have their own physicals they perform, so if it wasn’t disclosed, I think it certainly would’ve come up later in the process.

Having fun while playing fundamentally sound baseball. A treat to watch.

If only this was the team for the rest of the year. The next three games will finally be fun to watch no matter the outcome. Certainly a first for this year.

Is it a coincidence that they started winning when they started playing the kids. That's the rose colored glasses view of Salvy's, Cam's and Witt's injuries,

This is probably, no surely, the best thing to happen as a result of COVID!!!

The next three games should be fun, but there is still a lot of work to be done by the front office. But the brand of baseball has been better of late, for sure.
