Maybe? Entirely possible he made some sort of adjustment to compensate for his injuries and has never readjusted. One thing I didn’t mention in the post is his bat speed really tumbled. That’s not going to help.
If either the Royals free swinging ways rub off a bit on Biggio or his discipline ribs off on the Royals, that's a win! But not expecting much from him really and not sure he'll make the team if he has a poor ST
He definitely has to show something in camp. If he does and Q uses him sparingly, worth the low risk just for the ability to work a walk and get on base.
325 plate appearances next season and the Royals continue to play him in right field after Renfroe is hurt and they call us Cags in late August. I’m just preparing myself.
Minor league deals are essentially risk-free and when compared to Frazier, at least he has shown signs of success recently enough to have a few dying embers of hope remaining that there might still a competent big leaguer in there somewhere. It's a perfectly reasonable move even if the odds are high that no one outside the most rabid KC fans will remember it ever happened 6 months from now.
The first article of the year is a teaser title CB? WTH? Lol; Just hacking on you CB. We all know the pickins' are slim these dog days of the offseason.
Appreciate the writeup and education on someone I know only by last name. Keep em' coming!
Still time to make moves and still players available. But the countdown to the first day of camp is on. Which is a good thing because I’m already done with this stupid snow.
The only thing is Cavan can't hit. Has a .215 over the last four years. Sure he can play multiple positions, but unfortunately, hitting isn't one of them.

He reminds me of Nick Pratto's swing profile. The Royals couldn't rub off on him, so I don't have much hope this will work much better.
Definitely low expectations. Glad it’s just a minor league deal.

Woof.

Yep. Low expectations and low risk. Normally, I’d throw this in a notes type of column, but I wanted to write something today. It’s a snow day!
Biggio provides some competition in spring training to Lofton for that utility role. Not a bad thing.
Competition is never a bad thing. Even though it was 5-6 years ago, at least Biggio has found some success at the big league level.

Coach! This is my 3rd article of the new year. Come on!
Nothing to see here. Let’s get a decent to good hitter. Please

Love the Vargas signing (unless my brain broke and it’s Infante) shoutout.
