As someone who just launched their own baseball newsletter, the whole Vox/SB Nation thing is a bummer. It sucks for the writers and the readers who are hungry for the content. It also makes me glad I just decided to do my own thing on substack. Obviously, I'm coming from a pretty anonymous spot without the resources of sites like that and Powder Blue Nostalgia may never catch on and find large-scale success, but at least I have control over it and can continue to do it on my own terms for as long as I'm enjoying it.
