I'm glad they check for foreign substances after every inning because I can just enjoy that wiffle ball action without any suspicion. Love the flair and leg kick. I called him a pitching machine on Bluesky, but really he's an artist.

The leg kick is insane. And awesome. Remind you of anyone?

While he's definitely The Stopper, this idiot typist believes Lugo should also be dubbed The Road Warrior. If nothing else, this win removed the possibility of a sweep, which might not have as much an effect on the standings as it might on confidence.

He’s been next level on the road, hasn’t he? A sweep against the Twins would have been…let’s say unpleasant. There’s comfort in a Lugo start.

Never too early to call him an All Star. At this point, right now, he deserves to start the game not just pitch. He is utterly amazing, I just hope he can keep it up.

Totally as a starter. Im envisioning an All-Star battery with Lugo and Perez.

As Seth said above, the dude is an artist.

If watching Lugo every five days with his arsenal of pitches can't convince Brady Singer to finally diversify his pitch selection, then I don't think anything can. Spoiler alert: I don't think anything can. Hopefully, he has enough in his two favorites today to salvage a split.

Ever since they signed Lugo (and Wacha) this has been my hope. Alas.

And Singer has been scratched from his start this afternoon due to illness. So we’ll have to wait for his next start to see how his two-pitch mix is functioning.

I had not seen that. Well, whoever is going today, hopefully some Lugo magic is still lingering on the mound.

Was announced not too long ago. Lynch is up. Hernández down.

After many seasons of having only the one required all star it will be fun to see how many Royals make it into the game. Obviously Salvy, Witt and Lugo are in barring injury. Singer has some work to do but his numbers suggest that he is worthy too.

Do not discount a motivated KC-based electorate. We’ve seen the magic they can weave. Maybe this time Omar Infante will get in.

Lol. Well, Omar did have that 7 RBI game against Cleveland in 15' so he has a case to be made.

If he's The Stopper, we should rename him Seth No-go.
