Completely agree that BWJ should have taken at least one pitch in that AB. I bet he will next time. It's awfully difficult to hit a low, outside cutter with success, even for a superstar.

When Durán is pumping 100+ and he trims just a bit off and locates there? Nobody will have success with that pitch.

I was digging the drama at that moment. I imagine that stadium was filled with absolute dread. Would’ve been fun if Bobby could’ve kept the tension going for a little longer.

In the big situations I currently prefer Salvy at the plate. Bobby will become that guy soon though, and wow will that be something.

I’ll ride with Bobby although Salvy isn’t a bad option at all. As you say, Bobby will soon be that guy. To get there, he’s going to need to get these experiences under his belt.

It’s easy to overlook Bobby’s defensive miscue since he usually makes the play and he produces so much at the plate. Much harder with MJ when he’s providing nothing at the plate

I can agree with that. And reputation has something to do with that as well. Bobby routinely makes plays. MJ has a bit of…let’s say checkered history with the glove.
