But otherwise, Mrs. Lincoln, did you enjoy the play?

I wish MJ well, but I don’t think he’ll play for the Royals again. If only they had traded him after his big minor league season.

Always tricky to sell high. That could've been the springboard for an All-Star caliber career. Could've been. But it was not.

At what point does management start looking questioningly at the hitting coaches? Seems like they are accomplishing zero towards getting struggling hitters back on track. They can't even take a pitch when it is out of the zone, as evidenced by their chase rate.

I think that's a move that is gaining some momentum. But it's a bit of a panic move (see the Colorado Rockies) and never seems to accomplish much. If a fall guy is needed, though, it's usually the hitting coach.

I hesitated to hit the like button on this one because I didn't really like anything you said. But the writer in me reminded me not to shoot the messenger, and as per usual, your reporting was top notch.

It is a sad day to see MJ get sent down. That being said, as was already stated, he is probably done. Stick a fork in it done. I think MJ is so lost, he may never find his way home again. I always liked him, so I wish him well but hope he doesn't become another Brent Rooker for someone else.

I'm with you in that I'm not sure he can get back to even a little below league average, which is where he's been most of his career. Disappointing.
