I have a bad feeling Ryan O'Hearn will still be on the roster at the end of the week which is beyond belief! Like you said you can pretty much get anyone at the minimum salary that will put up similar numbers or better than O'Hearn. You would also save around 800,000 by doing this.
Just a couple of quick comments. I would non tender O'hearn so fast it would make your head spin. I also think I would non tender Gallagher also unless you could flip him in a minor deal. I wouldn't mind extending Mondesi, but not for 100 million. I might go 6 yr and maybe 60 65 million with large at bat bonuses. Thanks for your post
Thanks, Paul! I think we're on the same page regarding Mondesi for annual value. I think it has to be at least 5 years to make it worth everyone's effort. But I had a difficult time going there. Six feels like too much for me, but that is something I would think he would jump at. So maybe that 6th year is what gets it done.
Gallagher is definitely a potential non-tender. But the Royals like their guys. Worth a flyer at that estimated figure, I think.
