I have been sitting on the sideline watching when I could but not going out of my way to catch a game. At this point maybe the goal of why they are playing needs to be explained by mgmt. It can't be to be in the race / win a division / wild card....it can't be to get value in trading players ( other than Benny) because is there really another that is a value? And it can't be to give the young players a chance to play together ( and sell the future). When leadership lacks focus this is what we get. Excuses and promises of next yr.

A lack of focus is a perfect way to describe these last few years. They don’t have the stomach to rebuild, but they need to. And then they act surprised when the fans are unhappy that contention isn’t happening sooner. When the plan is “we just expect everyone to improve,” that’s not really a plan. It happened 12 years ago. It’s happening again.

the reality is nobody is getting fired - demoted - or cut loose for not performing...so the expectations from mgmt must be being met....we are getting what they want or they would make a change. Isn't that how it works at other successful companies.

Change? This organization prides itself on stability. A sub-.400 winning percentage over the last five years with modest improvement apparently is a rousing success.

It did look like Salvy was calling for that pitch down the middle to Ramirez watching at home. I could be wrong though. Regardless, it’s getting really hard to care about this team. I’ll keep watching because I want to see the young guys, but there’s not much to be excited about with the front office still intact
