Agreed that our southpaws need to learn to deal with lefty hitters. Two related observations:
1) perhaps that is one reason the bullpen has been constructed righty-heavy?
2) maybe we'd see one of the lefties traded to open a spot for one of the young right-handers. Could even be a straight-up swap of one of our young lefties for someone's major league ready righty.
Thanks for the comment, Clark. On point one, I think that contributed to...let's say a lack of urgency to add more lefties to the bullpen. But if they're carrying eight pitchers, they can always have at least two lefties, I would think.
On point two, I think the Royals would have to be overwhelmed to deal either Lynch or Bubic. Especially Lynch. That's not to say a trade doesn't make sense, but I don't think the timing is right.
