I'm hoping that, much like the hitter mired in a slump who reaches on a duck snort to the opposite field, the Royals will be able to build on their success today and get into a hot streak.
The Rockies seem like a good team to try that against.
Oh! That Busby record was also in a stretch where he faced 54 batters in a row without allowing a hit. Covering three starts with his no-no in the middle...June of 1974.
Right?!?!?! I'm onboard with anything that can make it easier for the Royals to score runs. No guarantee a free runner on second makes it "easier" for them, but I'll take it.

I don’t believe in momentum, but if the Royals offense can’t find some sort of success against Colorado…
I don’t even want to think about it.
Once again KC proves they ain't scared of Skubal. Good on 'em; gotta take "wins" wherever they can be had.
Could've sworn Steve Busby once retired 33 in a row for a team record. Am I misremembering?
Lynch's improvement a very welcome highlight.
About time Q started shuffling the lineup a bit, especially dropping Vinnie, even if it may have been just against a tough lefty.
Cannot afford a letup against sad Rox or mediocre 'Stros. Gotta get back to even, quicker the better.
LOVE seeing the White Sox slap the Red Sox around. That serves obnoxious Boston fans right.
Twins continue to puzzle. There is something seriously wrong with that franchise & current team and let's hope they continue to be a non-threat.
You're right on Busby. The 33 consecutive batters retired is a franchise record.
Lynch as a weapon in the bullpen is big for this team. Any arm who can consistently get batters out while pitching in relief is big for this team.

OMG this is where we are now? Craig was OK with the Manfred Man? This season really is going off of the rails.
