I go back and forth on extending Benintendi. He is solid, young, and plays good defense. I also think Kyle Isbell could adequately fill his spot. I also think Isbell could handle CF. But...we also have zero high end OF prospects knocking on the door. I keep coming back to extend him and have some certainty.
Looking forward to tomorrow on Isbel. I think Isbel is a 300 hitter if they would only play him. I am afraid if they extend Benny you have a 260 batter making 10 or so million a year. We already have one mistake in cf. We should have never resigned Taylor. If we didn't have his bad contract I might be more inclined to extend Benny.
The Taylor contract isn’t that bad. As long as they bat him 9th and let him roam center. But I do agree on Benintendi. He’s a good piece on a complete team. But the Royals aren’t complete at the moment.
I know what you are saying about Taylor, but he taking a spot where someone else could be so much better. He only bats around 230 to 240. We need a better hitter than that in the outfield. Isbel is as good a fielder as Taylor is.

Agree, Eli. I think the Royals go for some certainty in the position. I think I’ll have more tomorrow on Isbel and his spot on this team.
