I fully agree with letting Witt Jr. go to SS and build around him. I would like to see Isbel for Olivares and Emmanuel (Pulpo) Rivera for O'Hearn.
Last offseason I predicted the Royals would use a 6 man rotation for the full season because of the abundance of starting pitchers and the effects of 2020 still keeping inning counts lower than normal.
I thought about Isbel for quite awhile. He was probably my last guy "cut." There just isn't room for him to be playing every day and it wouldn't serve him to be on a bench. But if he has another strong spring...Yeah, I could definitely see it.
Just replied to Eli that Isbel was my last "cut" on the roster. I just think the Royals want their young guys who could play a part in the future to be getting regular reps. That means Triple-A for now. But with a strong spring, he forces himself back into the equation.
Totally agree not messing with Witt. 2nd ranked prospect in all of MLB, don't mess with a good thing. If Ryan O'Hearn is on the opening day roster, I may quit being a Royals baseball fan. I think MJM needs to be dh/c now rather than later. Hope, hope, hope they can move Santana quick. Agree with on most everything else.
Your projections are exactly what the Royals should do (sans O'Hearn) but.....it's DM etc. We'll probably see a Goings type B/U infielder & JaCoby Jones.
I have not. It's possible there's still plenty to sort as to who actually has streaming rights. And who knows what Bally's is up to? They say they're planning on launching a service, but the only thing we've heard is it would cost $25-$35 a month. I'm skeptical anything will be different for this season.

Surely Isbel makes the team ahead of O'Hearn, but the rest looks right.

Love the old school username.

I wrote O'Hearn's name and then just stared at it for a long, long time.

Is Goings a mashup of Owings and Goins? :) Because I heartily applaud that and may use that in a future post.
And my fear when writing this was by the third installment, Jones would be on the list. Because...yes.
Mr. B, heard anything about Royals cable/streaming/broadcast TV plans?
