What. The. Hell? And now desert comes to town dressed as the Chicago White Sox. Apparently all it took to get Massey on track was for this community to question his health. Keep the fountains and skepticism up, my friends.
Wild. As for the skepticism, it's still well off the charts high for me when it comes to Massey. We'll see if that's a building block for an extended stretch of production.
Now that the Infield bats SEEM to be unlocked, what possible trade(s) or moves could be made to do the same for Outfielders?
MG is right there with BWJ! MG's pundit- predicted breakout has come.
O'Hearn. Damn the bastard's success vs. R's but hear he's a nice guy so good on him.
Lynch's renaissance as a reliever recalls Luke Hochevar, bust as a top-pick starter who finally found success in the pen and was able to exit the game with a ring. So happy for both of them.
See MJ is awful in Omaha, also. Can't help but think he needs more help with his head than with his swing.
If what we're seeing from Garcia is real, with him on the left side of the infield with Witt, that's is a helluva tandem over there. The elite of the elite.
I think the Lynch/Hochevar comp is a good one for the path they took to what looks like their eventual destination. I like that Lynch has found success in that role, mainly because I like to see people succeed when they initially stumble. Same can be said for O'Hearn, even though he's in the opposing dugout.
Just one of the many lines that makes Craig the best writer on Royals internet. Cracks me up.
This team gave me emotional whiplash the past couple of weeks. Reminiscent of the 15 of 20 season (can’t remember if that was ‘13 or ‘14) and going from “fire the hitting coach” to “we may have something here.” Hopefully we’re entering a smooth stretch on the rollercoaster ride.
It's a long season. I figured they wouldn't be as bad offensively as we saw in the first month. I just didn't know they'd claw back to semi-respectability in two games. Baseball!
A couple of things. This just hit me. The abundance of "Solo" homers paid homage to Hans?? Second, Craig you are looking smarter by the day with Garcia's emergence. Man I hope he keeps it up.
I wish I could take credit for Garcia. Or at least looking smart about Garcia. He's someone with all the tools so it feels easy to point to him as a potential guy. I'm just glad he's finally putting it together for more than a week. It transforms this team if he can produce.
I can't remember if I've made this comment before, but he can have a similar impact to what Lorenzo Cain had. Elite defender, plus base runner, good OBP and able to produce runs. You might be looking at a 5.0-7.0 WAR player.
It's the offensive portion that is still up for debate. I want to be leery of it, because we've been burned before, but his expected stats are right in line with his actual performance which tells me this is legit. He just has to keep it up. No small thing. Here's hoping he can keep going!
Made the impulsive decision to go up and catch Sundays game - will never regret the hit to the bank and sleep account. I honestly thought about you after this win, because i wished I had the words to record my impressions (kinda like jodi foster in Contact - they should have sent a poet). But Luke Maile kind of summed it all up for me. We had great seats behind the dugout, and after the incredible double play by Witt, Massey and Vinnie; Maile came walking back to the dugout with an open mouthed grin lightly shaking his head while beaming up at the crowd as if to say "did you see that?" He looked absolutely stoked to be a Royal. Baseball is fun
Outstanding! Glad you made it to the park. That's one that I need to get to.
Sounds like Maile had the same reaction that Cameron had about the defense. People can talk about it, but once a player actually experiences the greatness...it's like these guys are in another realm.

Ahhh...thank you, Michael.

I guess everyone was just waiting for Cavan Biggio to get his.
The straw that stirs the drink.
Was that Stargell, Parker, Robinson and team out there yesterday??? Loved it like we all did!
MG looks more locked in than I ever recall!
Why do the most remarkable achievements of Ryan's field play always kick us right in the Jimmy lol?
Great road trip, now back to work boys! And $100 to whoever rips off that unsightly red QT patch!
We will always agree on the uniform patch.
And yep...Garcia is on the hottest hot streak of his career.
