Stop me if you've heard/seen this before: A previously struggling pitcher throttles the KC offense.
Same as it ever was. (Talking Heads ref.)
I suppose it's a moral victory that they actually scored a run off this one.
Zerpa is streaky: he had done so well from Mid-may thru late June. Now he's becoming unreliable . . .again, nearly a carbon copy of his 2024 season. Plus his brain freeze lost the game.
Cameron is the real deal. Reminds me of Mark Buehrle of the White Sox; throws strikes, works fast, solid stuff.
Starting to think it's best to keep Cags up and let him work through it. I mean, there's nobody in Omaha who can help; at least he might run into now every now and then.
Ambitious comp on Cameron’s but I like it. It’s so difficult to tell these days with the pitch clock but there were one or two times last night where I thought he was really moving the game along. I like it.
I’m not sure what they are accomplishing, other than ruining his confidence, with Caglione. Again we can stay the course all year with Zumwalt and it is his job to instruct and lead hitters in a method to move forward from a slump. Cags should have been down when he was 1 for 20. Forty? What are they doing.
I’m wondering if the move isn’t Massey once they decide his rehab assignment is good. At this point, it doesn’t matter who they bring in to replace Cags. They just have to take care of him.
Man, Jacob Wilson strikes me as a lot of smoke and mirrors. His defense nor his baserunning are very good. He doesn't walk. He's got a ridiculously high BABIP and a very slow swing.
Maybe he's the right-handed Luis Arraez, but I feel like there's a reason Arraez is the only guy like him.
Don't get too comfortable at the bottom of the standings, Sox, for the Royals are coming for you!
This would be a displeasing development.

Talking Heads always gets a thumbs up from me.

We are at the point where I’m concerned serious damage is being done.
Me too. Happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸. Thanks 4alludo.
Thanks, Ken!
Idk, bring in Verdugo to play OF. At least you might be able to get the kid’s confidence back. Try something. Jeez
