That's pretty much where most of the hitters have been at this point in the spring. (Nobody faces only major league caliber pitching in Spring Training.) But it still speaks to Caglianone's ability. He looks ready for Double-A.

He was mashing, but I read it was mostly against AA-level pitchers. Still very encouraging start to this kid’s pro career.

Cags vs.
Big leaguers: 6/9, 2 HR, 3 2B, 3 BB, 1 K
Minor leaguers: 3/8, 1 HR, 1 BB, 2 K
I just don’t get the fielding. Put him in the OF now.
I think he’ll get some OF reps in Double-A. I’m just not sure he can play the position. But totally worth finding out.
