The Royals open their homestand with a victory. Adalberto Mondesi puts one into orbit but leaves late with an apparent hamstring issue. Plus, some awards for the end of the month.
All good stuff and all accurate. Carlos and Barlow definitely had my vote too.
Regarding the pen', how good Barlow has been and some of Holly's struggles, I'm wondering if MM is leaning towards moving Barlow to the closer in the high-leverage situations? For the past year I've been thinking Josh is our closer of the future, but Barlow seems to have a different level of composure and unflappability to him.
Thanks! I've been leery of Staumont as the closer, just because of his control issues and walk rate. The same may apply to Barlow. But both have found success in late inning, high leverage roles. I think Staumont also has that composure that helps.
