Apropos of absolutely nothing: Frank White, while knowing his $#!t, was the most dreadful baseball announcer ever. Zombies on The Walking Dead had more life in them.
I will miss the Reds continuing for no other reason than Tito Francona is one of the most entertaining managers I've ever listened to.
I've read that Washington Square Park was recently sold or transferred to a different developer. I'm holding out hope they'll make the right choice. Sherman said he wanted downtown baseball for KC and I think I can believe him.
I guess I trust Piccolo to overhaul the hitting development and coaching in a useful way. If he thinks Zumwalt is good to keep then I won't say differently.
I need to get back on the new stadium beat. It’s just that there hasn’t been any useful news. Of any kind. For awhile, I thought that silence was good because it meant they were being serious about getting everything in line. Now, the longer the silence continues, I once again wonder if they know what they’re doing.
I think Picollo has earned the benefit of the doubt on the moves he’s making. For now.
What's inevitable is that Brady Singer won't ever be allowed to pitch in the playoffs. The Royals had five games last year and he faced one batter. He didn't make it in for the Reds after starting Sunday.
The sports betting sponsors make me feel icky. I don't think my inner circle would label me a conspiracy theorist, but Oswald had help and Ohtani was complicit in the gambling incident Manfred convinced his assistant to take the fall for.
If players start leaving for the LIV baseball tour, I am out.
SBNation had a post on Facebook this morning detailing how much the Royal's defense and base running had slipped in 2025. As a lifelong Royals fan who is living in Virginia, I'm not as up on the team as I was when I lived in the KC area in the 1970's and 80's. Back then I went to 25-30 games a year and either watched or listened to nearly every other one, so my question is this. Who is the Royals baserunning coach? Who is the primary defensive coach? I would think that replacing those guys would be a great place to start for incremental or large improvement.

Yeah…Frank just wasn’t that good on the broadcast.
Tito working through 100 pieces of gum over a nine inning game will forever be entertaining.

Seitzer syre would have looked good here. Seattle pretty well raked offensively.
He’s a favorite, and for good reason. The dude has gotten results. A true hitting rat.

I almost feel bad for him.
The curse of the fourth starter in a short playoff series.
"Riyadh Comedy Festival"......still laughing
I’ll be here all week!
